Guest players and claiming your profile
How organisers add players without accounts, and how members claim their recorded history after joining.
Some squads start small — you may want to record matches and stats before every player has a Teamsheet account. Group admins can add guest players as placeholders for people who have not signed up yet.
For organisers
- Open your group in the app, then Guests.
- Tap Add guest player and enter their name.
- Share the guest code with that player once they have joined the group.
Guest players appear under Guests on the group screen. You can add them to matches, assign teams, and record goals like any other player.
For players
- Sign up for Teamsheet as usual.
- Join the group with the join code from your organiser.
- Open Guests on the group screen and tap your guest player.
- Enter the guest code your organiser gave you.
Your matches, stats, and achievements from the placeholder are added to your account. If you already had a membership in the group before claiming, your histories are combined automatically.
Tips
- Each guest player has their own guest code for one group.
- Guest codes only work inside the group they belong to, and you must be a member of that group first.
- Once claimed, the placeholder is retired and you use your normal account from then on.
